Number lines

WALT  Use a number line to solve addition and subtract problems.

I learnt that number lines can be hard at first but it's easy when you get the hang of it and know what your doing.

My next step is to make my jumps a bit bigger and also to jump to my nearest number.

Reading

WALT  Novel Study

In reading I have been reading a book called Despereaux it's about a mouse called Despereaux
Who goes on a crazy,exciting adventure in to the real world.

My next step is to understand a bit more about what I'm reading and also to re read the parts that I don't know in the story so I will get better.

Maths

WALT  solve problems by first subtracting a tidy number.

I learnt that this piece of work Is very hard when you come to it but it's easy when you get the hang of it.

My next step is to practise solving them quickly 
- trying not to mess this up.

Writing week 10

WALT  Plan a recount step by step


I learned that its more easy to write in paragraphs then to just write casually underneath each other. I set out the recount in order, so when some people will read my recount will know that its in order
and when, why, who, who and where it happened. My next step is to set my paragraphs out better then I have

 

Te Teo

Walt learn new word in Maori 

Today for SRL I did Te Teo I took a photo of myself . 

My next step is to be able to say it more confidently. 

WALT  recraft boring sentences and turn them into intresting sentences using descriptive language.

I learned that if you put descriptive words in your sentences they become more interesting to read. 

My next step is to make my sentences longer so it will be better to read.  I also need to put more descriptive words into my sentences so that my work will be more interesting for the person who is reading it.

When i rote This word I realised that I missed the t in the word pitched.

My next step next week is to rewrite this word with the letter t in it.
